Company History

Beverly Enterprises Inc. was established in 1977, and began exclusive sales for 9 items of wooden jigsaw puzzle by Dick Bruna. We have been introducing something new for Jigsaw puzzles. Today, Beverly is trying to expand more in toys, stationary, puzzles and games market.

1977 Beverly Enterprises Inc. established in Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
Began sales of wooden jigsaw puzzles by Dick Bruna.
Obtained sole right as import agent for West German Heye Puzzles.
1978 Began sales of 3D Jigsaw Puzzle series.
1979 Began domestic production of Jigsaw Puzzles.
1980 Began building game corners for adults.
1983 Began sales of the Silver Moon Series, jigsaw puzzles in pull-top cans.
1984 Established the Osaka Branch.
Began the promotion of jigsaw puzzles as decorative art.
1985 Began sales of the jigsaw puzzle frames called Flash Panel.
1988 Obtained rights to the manufacture and sale of Escher’s products.
1989 Established the Sapporo Branch.
Began sales of the Glow in the Dark jigsaw puzzles.
1990 Obtained rights to the manufacture and sale of T. Mcknight and other jigsaw puzzles.
1991 Increased capital to 50 million yen. Established the Yachimata Distribution Center
1993 Began sales of Disney stamps. Released new-material cork jigsaw puzzles.
1995 Released jigsaw puzzles by such overseas artists as Christian R. Lassen and Eijin Suzuki.
1996 Began sales of round jigsaw puzzles, wooden jigsaw puzzles, and reversible jigsaw puzzles. Released a line of evaluation seals for teachers.
1999 Released a line of Studio Ghibli stamps.
2000 Released 3D spherical jigsaw puzzles.
2001 Released a line of Crystal Puzzles.
2002 Released Blokus, a territorial strategic board game.
2005 Introduced HexachromeTM printing, high-definition printing with six-color inks for the first time in the jigsaw puzzle industry.
2006 Released a line of jigsaw puzzles with extremely small pieces.
2007 Began sales of the card games Punishment Playing Cards.
2008 Hidehiro Kamishita took up the post of chairman.
Hideki Kamishita took up the post of president.
2009 Horse, a line of Crystal Puzzles, won the High-target Toy Excellence Award at the International Tokyo Toy Show
2010 Released Sanrio characters jigsaw puzzles.

Released Master Shogi & Chess.
2013 Hell Puzzle won the High-Target Toy Excellence Award at the International Tokyo Toy Show. Released lines of stationary, Cocosasu and Memokan. Released flex puzzles and blocks made of EVA.
2014 Car puzzle 3D won the High-Target Toy Excellence Award at the International Tokyo Toy Show.
2015 The Karesansui Jigsaw Puzzle won the High-Target Toy Excellence Award at the International Tokyo Toy Show. Cocosasu won the Idea Award in the Best of Stationery.
2016 Flying Carpet won the Innovative Toy Excellence Award at the International Tokyo Toy Show.
2017 Spirograph Junior won the Educational Toy Excellence Award at the International Tokyo Toy Show.
2018 Pacherie Pink Tote Set won the Girls’ Toy Excellence Award at the International Tokyo Toy Show.
